Dubai Entrepreneur Rashid Al Ghurair is using Drones to plant a million Ghaf trees in the UAE Desert.

The founder of the Fuel delivery app Cafu Rashid Al Ghurair is concerned about the effects of climate change and has embarked on planting as much Ghaf trees as possible to consume the vast levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. What makes Ghaf trees unique is their ability to consume less water for adequate growth while growing in a water a scarce desert. During an experimental Drone trial in the emirate of Sharjah December 2019, 4,000 seeds were planted successfully. Furthermore, The Ghaf trees also traditionally provide shelter and sustenance to tribal communities.
