SOURCE: Pulse By Maeil business news Korea : South Korea demonstrated unmanned delivery of consumer commodities to a remote island under a state-backed project. A drone carrying a parcel box with household items on Tuesday flew 900 meters across the waters off Yeosu, southern port city and arrived at the destination, where a self-driving robot stood by to make the final home delivery 70 meters away. The project was led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), local industrial equipment and robot maker Neontech, and autonomous mobility solution provider Unmanned Solution.
