Founded in 2017, Wingcopter develops and produces autonomous flying delivery drones for social and civil applications, such as accelerating life-saving medication delivery to remote islands. With its patented tilt-rotor mechanism, the start-up closes the gap between commercial drones, helicopters and fixed-wing aircrafts, thus achieving a new dimension of efficiency. It all began in 2016 with the development of a drone for measurement and inspection, which they presented at the INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS part of INTERGEO in Hamburg in 2016.
